The 2011 Special Recognition Award is a tribute to an individual who has excelled in the payroll and AP profession. This person’s ongoing support of APA chapters in Texas and other states as well as TPC has been commendable. Our award recipient is a TPC speaker in 4 classes this year, a mentor to many, and a dedicated APA and AAPA professional. Therefore, it is with great pleasure I recognize Jodi Parsons, CPP as the recipient of the 2011 Special Recognition Award.
Jodi, the Manager of Payroll and Accounts Payable at Telligen, also serves as the APA’s Region 4 Board of Advisor, which includes the Texas region and is our liaison with national. Jodi has also served as a member of the APA Education Grant Committee, Chapter Recognition Committee and the Board of Contributing Writers for APA. She is also a member of the Strategic Accounts Payable Leadership Task Force, AP Answers, CHAMPS Committee, Outsourcing Practices Subcommittee, Hotline Referral Service and it doesn’t stop there. Jodi Parsons, CPP was named the 2011 American Accounts Payable Association Woman of the Year at this year’s annual Congress.
